Lady Warriors move to 4-0 with 86-51 win over Kelliher-Northome - P27

 

RED LAKE, MN - The Red Lake Lady Warriors moved to 4-0 on Friday, December 11, 2015 with their 86-51 win over the Kelliher-Northome Mustangs at home.

The Lady Warriors drew first blood and the Mustangs hung right in with their fast paced offense throughout early minutes of the first half. At 5 minutes left in the half it was a 1-point game, Red Lake leading 23-22. But a 16-1 run in those remaining minutes put the Lady Warriors ahead 30-23 at the half.

It was all Red Lake in the second half as they outscored the Mustangs 45-28 to give them the win, 86-51.

Red Lake moved to 4-0 on the season, while the Mustangs droped to 1-3.

Alexis Desjarlait led all scorers with 23, Grace White added 16, Avery Holthusen netted 12, Gericka Kingbird hit 10 off the bench in the second half, Samantha Roy had 8, Angel McClain and Autumn Holthusen both hit for 7, and Danielle Seki had 2.

Destiny Heck and Laechon Wagner both had 15 for Kelliher-Northome.

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams also played, but no results were available at the time of this story.

Red Lake heads to Fond du Lac on Saturday, December 12th and will play 4 games starting on Monday, December 14 at the Northland Community Technical College Girls Tournament, then on Friday, December 18th at the Sanford Center for a double-header with Fosston.
