LEVEL 3 PREDATORY OFFENDER SOUGHT BY MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a level 3 predatory offender who is no longer complying with the conditions of his release from prison.

Douglas Lynn Peterson was released from prison on Nov. 5, 2014, to Intensive Supervised Release by Hennepin County. He has been on fugitive status since Jan. 17, 2016, when he absconded from his supervision while residing near the area of 27th Street and Fremont Avenue North in Minneapolis.

Peterson is 66 years old. He is Caucasian, has brown hair and blue eyes, and is 6 feet tall and weighs 182 pounds. It is believed Peterson was wearing a black coat with a gray hood, and was carrying a backpack.

Peterson has a criminal history that includes convictions for criminal sexual conduct. He was sentenced to prison in 2001 for criminal sexual conduct against known juvenile males.

In Minnesota, Peterson has ties to Blaine, Blooming Prairie, Golden Valley, Hayfield, Milaca, Minneapolis and Zimmerman. He also has ties to Arcadia, Fla., and Phoenix, Arizona.
