NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR BUSHCONNECT 2016

Bemidji, MN - January 15, 2016 - The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is partnering with the Bush Foundation for bushCONNECT 2016, an event that brings people together to build and strengthen leadership network connections across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.

The Bush Foundation selected 18 organizations, representing a range of sectors and communities to recruit attendees for its third bushCONNECT event, which will be held May 9, 2016, at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

bushCONNECT is where you'll meet new people who might spark a new idea, help you step out of your comfort zone, and challenge the way you approach your work. The day includes inspiring and creative speakers, intimate conversations with community leaders, interactive and engaging sessions, and unique networking activities.

And for the first time, a second day of bushCONNECT will offer a range of skill-building programs and workshops at locations around the Twin Cities. More details will be available in February at http://www.bushconnect.org.

Candidates, either nominated or self-nominated should contact Dawn Ganje, dawng@nwmf.org or call 218-759-2057 for an application. Applications are due February 22, 2015. This is a competitive process; the chosen candidates will not incur, mileage, meal or hotel costs.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is a public, charitable foundation serving 12 counties of Northwest Minnesota by investing resources, facilitating collaboration and promoting philanthropy.
