Morongo Indian Reservation lockdown over says Tribal official

Cabazon - The Morongo Indian Reservation was on lockdown due to the pursuit of a suspect wanted for an assault with a deadly weapon earlier today. A tribe spokesman has told us that the lockdown is now over.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department they were assisting tribal police on the Morongo Indian Reservation in Cabazon, in locating a suspect wanted in an assault with a deadly weapon, that occurred on the reservation earlier today.

Deputies tried to pull over the suspect and there was a pursuit says Armando Munoz of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The investigation is ongoing, says Munoz.
