Man jailed after pleading guilty to false allegations against Saskatoon police

Dustin Keegan Eagle was sentenced to four months in prison on Monday in Saskatoon's provincial courthouse. Eagle pleaded guilty to one count of public mischief with intent to mislead after filing a false report against members of the Saskatoon Police Service.

The formal public complaint was filed by Eagle back on Feb. 1, 2013 with the FSIN special investigative unit. This led to an investigation conducted by the Saskatoon Police Service and the Public Complaints Commission.

At the time, Eagle claimed two police officers had picked him up, took him out of town, removed his shoes and coat, and made him walk back into the city.
