Appleton woman sentenced for having sex with juvenile male

BENSON, Minn. — An Appleton woman who pleaded guilty to having sex with a juvenile male she was babysitting will be on probation for 15 years and must register as a predatory offender.

In a sentence handed down Tuesday in Swift County District Court, Kelly Lilee Petersen was ordered to serve 180 days in the county jail, with credit given for the 115 days she has already served. The remaining jail time could be reduced if Petersen completes an inpatient, special needs adult sex offender program.
