Detroit Lakes woman must repay $143,000 she stole from employer

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- For the second time in 10 years, a Detroit Lakes woman has been found guilty of embezzlement.

Late last month, Stephanie Jo Disse, 45, was sentenced for stealing about $143,000 from her employer in Becker County district court. She was sentenced on one felony count of theft or diversion of corporate property. Six other felony counts were dismissed in a plea agreement.
