Will play in Championship with Thief River Falls on Wednesday
The Red Lake Warriors remain unbeaten at 9-0 with their 75-69 win over Northern Freeze on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the 33rd Annual Russ Smith Holiday Classic in Thief River Falls.
With several lead changes, Red Lake was up by 1 at 30-29 at the half.
This is an annual tournament that they have never won, but will play in the championship with Thief River Falls on Wednesday.

Red Lake 75 Northern Freeze 69
The Red Lake Warriors held off a scrappy Northern Freeze team to earn a berth in Wednesday's Championship game of the Russ Smith Holiday Classic in Thief River Falls.
In a game that featured 14 lead changes, the Warriors used some clutch free throw shooting to help them improve to 9-0 on the season. Jamie Cook hit four three pointers and led Red Lake with 18 points. Kendall Whitefeather came off the Warrior bench and added 16 points. Rob McClain continued his dominant play under the boards as he pulled down 20 rebounds for Red Lake.
Cole Dahl led the Freeze with 20 points as they fall to 6-3 on the year. Red Lake led at halftime 30-29 but would fall behind several times in the second half.
Red Lake took the lead for good at 49-48, but the Freeze would keep it close up until the end and got to within two points at 71-69.
Red Lake will play Thief River Falls in the Championship game on Wednesday, December 30th at 8:00 pm (96.7 FM). The Prowlers defeated Kittson County Central 65-60 in the other semi-final game on Tuesday night. Thief River Falls has won the last six championships at the Russ Smith Tournament while Red Lake is looking for their first ever title in the Russ Smith Holiday Classic.
