Cadet Colonel Caitlin Albright to receive General Carl "Tooey" Spaatz Award

The Global Vikings of the 934th Airlift Wing, Minnesota’s only Air Force Reserve unit, will host the presentation of the General Carl “Tooey” Spaatz Award to Cadet Colonel Caitlin Albright from the Anoka County Composite Squadron of the Minnesota Wing of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) on Friday, Jan. 8, at 6:00 P.M. Maj. Gen. Stayce Harris, Commander, 22nd Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, will preside over the invitationonly ceremony located at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station Services Club.

Named after General Carl “Tooey” Spaatz, the first Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the award is the highest achievement a cadet is eligible to attain in the CAP cadet program. After rigorous testing throughout the 16 achievements and four milestones, a cadet has the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency with successful cumulative examinations in the areas of Leadership, Aerospace and Physical Fitness. Since its inception in 1964, Cadet Col. Albright is the 2004th individual to obtain this prestigious accomplishment.
