Traffic Stop Turns Physical on Minnesota Reservation

CLOQUET, Minn. - The arrest of an unruly driver and passenger on the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation is all caught on video and it could have ended much differently.

Authorities say the male passenger tried to grab the gun of an officer, but it stays holstered.

Three officers were attempting to arrest the driver who was resisting during the stop near Cloquet last Friday.

Reservation police say lethal force could have been used once the man got his hand on the officer's gun.

The car was stopped because the driver was operating the vehicle in the dark without headlights.
