Person of interest in Wetterling case indicted on 25 child porn charges

MINNEAPOLIS — A federal grand jury has indicted Danny Heinrich on 25 counts that accuse him of possessing and receiving child pornography.

Heinrich, 52, has been identified as a person of interest in the October 1989 abduction of Jacob Wetterling. Heinrich has not been charged with any crimes related to Wetterling's disappearance.

The indictment, unsealed Wednesday, increases the number of counts that Heinrich is facing. He was charged in late October with five counts after he was arrested at his Annandale house. The indictment supersedes those charges.
