Lady Warriors crush Fond du Lac 118-20; Warriors win 89-60

FOND DU LAC - Both the Red Lake Warriors and Lady Warriors traveled to Fond du Lac on Saturday, December 12, 2015 for a double-header.

Playing first, the Lady Warriors out-ran and out-gunned Fond du Lac, leading 73-11 in the first half. They went on to win 118-20.

The 118 points was the most the Lady Warriors ever scored in a game, and they did it by utilizing their bench in the second half. Their reserves are almost just as quick and capable of scoring just like the starters.

That win put the Lady Warriors at 5-0 on the season and will play in the NCTC GIrls Tournament in Thief River Falls this week, before a double-header at the Sanford Center with Fosston on Friday night.

The Red Lake Warriors also played the Fond du Lac Ojibwe and found themselves trailing in the opening minutes of the first half. Red Lake trailed 16-11 at the 10:32 mark.

But the Warriors went on some runs after staying close, until it was 46-35 with Red Lake leading at the end of the 1st half.

Red Lake never trailed after that, finishing with the win, 89-60 and remaining unbeaten on the season.
