Stuff the Squad: Leech Lake Tribal Police host needs drive for homeless

CASS LAKE -- The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department partnered with the Leech Lake Housing Authority Friday to host its annual “Stuff a Squad” needs drive.

Squads were parked at the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department and at Cass Lake-Bena and Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig Schools. Household, non-perishable food, children and baby and toiletry items were donated from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Fozzies BBQ was on-site at the station.

The department reported two squads were filled last year during the first Stuff a Squad event.
