Warriors win NCTC Tournament with 96-58 win over Cass Lake Panthers

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN - The Red Lake Warriors for the second time in 6 days, defeated the Cass Lake Panthers, this time for the NCTC Tournament Championship in Thief River Falls.

The Warriors came out strong with a 12-0 run before the Panthers could score, then never lost the lead. They led 36-30 at the half mark.

Red Lake's Jeremy Martin led all scorers with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals; Rob McClain also had 5 steals along with 12 points and 10 rebounds; Will Morrison had 12 points, Rob Beaulieu III had 11 points Jamie Cook added 10, Bryce Cloud had 7, and Louis ManyPenny with 6.

Terric Frazier led Cass Lake with 15, Alvin Wind had 12 and Arnold Kingbird 9.

Rob McClain was named NCTC Tournament MVP. Jamie Cook, Jeremy Martin and Rob McClain were also named All-Stars of the game.

Red Lake is now 5-0 on the season, while Cass Lake drops to 3-2.

The Warriors will travel to Fond du Lac on Saturday, December 12, 2015 to take on the Fond du Lac Ojibwe.
