Public meeting about sex offender Thursday in Northome

BEMIDJI—A public meeting will take place Thursday in Northome in regard to an address change of a Level 3 sex offender.

The Itasca County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Department of Corrections are holding the informational meeting in regard to Gerald Joseph Browneagle, a Level 3 sex offender.

According to the Department of Corrections website, Browneagle has a history of sexual contact with female victims ages 11 to adult. According to the DOC website, Browneagle gained compliance through force and contact included penetration.
