Weeks later, Bemidji PD still seeking answers in Downwind disappearance
BEMIDJI -- The investigation of missing Redby woman Rose Downwind remains ongoing after more than a month since her disappearance.
Downwind, 31, was last seen on Oct. 21 leaving a residence on Stoner Avenue Southeast. She is described as an American Indian woman, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 115 pounds with long straight dark hair. Police Chief Mike Mastin said Wednesday that while there have been some tips in the time span since Downwind disappeared, none have panned out.
"We continue to follow leads, we've had over a hundred leads and we continue daily following up on those and readdressing some. We've also done some smaller law enforcement-only type searches, but there's been nothing that has initiated advancements," Mastin said.
