Sanford Bemidji Walk-in Clinic is moving and extending its hours

BEMIDJI -- Sanford Bemidji Walk-in Clinic is moving and extending its hours. It is an attempt to keep patients with twisted ankles or sore throats from long waits in the emergency room.

The move, effective Monday, is more of a shuffle. The current clinic -- west of the intersection of Minnkota Avenue and Anne Street -- and the new clinic -- east of the intersection -- are separated by about 200 feet that Sanford officials hope will make all the difference.

“We want to be able to grow our services,” said Mary Miller, executive director of clinic operations. “We’ve always known our employees are mothers and fathers like everyone else … that a child with a fever or an earache can mean a sleepless night.
