'I was almost raped and murdered': After 40 years, Saskatoon woman shares her story

Just days after the discovery of Karina Wolfe's body, a Saskatoon aboriginal woman is coming forward with her experience of a violent encounter with a stranger.

Monica Goulet has been an aboriginal relations consultant for the Saskatoon police for five years. She helps families cope while they deal with the painful reality of missing and murdered relatives.

"It's very delicate time in our community and I think whenever a person is faced with loss or whenever something really painful has happened to them it's very difficult to talk," Goulet said. "And it takes courage to talk."
