NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION OFFERS AMP UP YOUR MISSION: LEADING FOR IMPACT WORKSHOP

BEMIDJI, MN—November 18, 2015 -- The Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) is delivering Amp Up Your Mission: Leading for Impact, a course designed to help your nonprofit define its mission. The workshop will help you understand and communicate the impact of your mission and look at how mission based decision-making is practiced by organizational leadership staff and board members. Learn the hallmarks of excellent mission statements, how they inform theories of change, and focus organizational decision making.

This session will be offered in Crookston at the University Minnesota Crookston on December 8 and in Bemidji at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation Conference Center on December 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please visit http://www.nwmf.org, under upcoming events - click to see full calendar.

Trainers Julia Classen and Al Onkka will conduct the sessions. Classen has been a leader on nonprofit boards of directors for more than 30 years, serving organizations that are national, regional and local in scope. Onkka builds the capacity of others to use an evaluative lens to help organizations develop, understand and improve at the programmatic and organizational level.

The workshop is limited to 40 participants. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please contact Dawn Ganje, dawng@nwmf.org to inquire.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation invests resources, facilitates collaboration, and promotes philanthropy to make the region a better place to live and work.
