Philadelphia man pleads guilty to assaulting a Choctaw Tribal Police Officer

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A 29-year-old Philadelphia, MS, man has pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting a Choctaw Tribal Police Officer.

Jason Gooden was asked to leave the Silver Star Casino because he appeared intoxicated. When he wouldn't leave, the security guard called the Choctaw Police Department for assistance.

When approached by police officers, Gooden grabbed one of them and threw him to the ground. he was arrested and charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer.
