Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal's Pot Crop Up in Smoke


FLANDREAU, SOUTH DAKOTA — The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe has suspended its marijuana cultivation and distribution facilities after a consultation with officials of the United States. Additionally, the Tribe has agreed to burn its current crop.

The Tribe legalized marijuana on June 11, 2015 through a 36-page ordinance with the intention of growing and selling marijuana.
