Police: Foul play involved in disappearance of Bemidji woman

BEMIDJI, Minn. - Police investigating the disappearance of Rose Downwind now say they believe foul play is involved.

Bemidji Police Chief Mike Mastin says investigators have also identified two persons of interest in the case, Marchello Cimmarusti and Christopher Davis.

Downwind was last seen by her family October 19th in Bemidji, officers say their investigation into what happened to her has been focused on the area of Lake Bemidji State Park and the Buena Vista State Forest.

Police are also asking the public to help them find a pewter colored 2002 GMC Yukon with Minnesota license plate number 325 MGP.

Home and property owners in the area are being asked to check their structures and acreage for any signs of suspicious activity including trespassing, recent fires or disturbed ground.

Hunters are asked to check their trail camera for suspicious activity, pictures of the persons of interest or the vehicle police are looking for.
