Aaron Matthew White whose Ojibwe name is “Misko giigik “ which means Red Tail Hawk, age 15, of Redby, MN died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Traditional Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Humanities Building in Red Lake, Minnesota with spiritual advisor Anton Treuer. A wake will begin at the Humanities Building on Wednesday at 1 pm and will continue until the time of the services. Interment will be at the Family Burial Site in Redby. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family.

Aaron was born June 26, 2000 in Bemidji, MN the son of Roger and Tara (Graves) White.

Aaron was a sophomore at Red Lake High School. He was very talented, competitive and excelled in all sports; football, basketball and baseball. His favorite class was Peggy Nelson’s cooking class.

He made friendships through traveling with his teammates and his father. Aaron was proud of his Dad being the coach.

Aaron loved supporting his sister Grace. His dream was to watch her fulfill her goals in her basketball career.

He had a very special bond with his big sister Ashley and was proud of her accomplishments.

Aaron loved being outside hunting and fishing. He always stayed busy with his family and friends. Aaron learned how to cherish life’s moments, loved everyone, and had a way of making you feel as though you were his best friend.

Being with family and friends meant the most to Aaron whatever the occasion, and every day was special.

Anyone that was in his life knows the bond that was created with him. Aaron’s bravery, courage, strength and love will be sadly missed but his beautiful memories will live forever.

He is survived by his father- Roger White, Jr.,

Mother- Tara White,

Sisters- Ashley White, Grace White,

Special Brother- Cyras A. Whitefeather,

Paternal Grandmother- Della Prentice,

Maternal Grandmother – Victoria Graves,

and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers- Roger White, Sr. and Gary Graves.

Honorary Casketbearers will be the entire boys basketball team and coaches, Robert Beaulieu, Jr., Anthony Beaulieu, Verdell Cook, Brent Pemberton Jr., Kaleb Pemberton, William “Boo” Chaboyea, Bronson Roy, Harold “Tre” Graves, Ryan Kingbird, Duane Cook Jr.

Active Casketbearers will be Matthew Graves Sr., Byron Graves, Robert White, Chad Prentice, Ryan Holthusen, Aaron Beaulieu.
