Medical examiner confirms body as that of missing U of M Morris student

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that a body found on Monday in a Douglas County cornfield was that of Laura Ann Schwendemann, 18, of Starbuck.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office issued a news release Friday afternoon confirming the results.

Complete autopsy reports, including a cause of death, are pending, therefore no further information was being released, Sheriff Troy Wolbersen said.
