Justin Morneau returns to the Twin Cities to help Arthritis Foundation

St. Paul, Minn. – Former Minnesota Twins first baseman, Justin Morneau, is heading back to the Twin Cities to partner with the Arthritis Foundation, and host the annual Justin Morneau Casino Night. This event will take place Saturday, December 5 from 6 – 11 p.m. at International Market Square in Minneapolis.

The event will feature games, hors d’oeuvres and a cocktail hour. All guests will have the opportunity to play a hand of cards with Mr. Morneau and other local celebrities and participate in a silent and live auction. This year’s event will also feature music by Tim Mahoney, local musician and former ‘The Voice’ contestant.

The Morneaus’ niece was diagnosed with arthritis eight years ago. When Madelyn was only two years old, she developed a red and swollen hand and had difficulty with everyday activities, like buttoning or zipping her clothes. Shortly after, a pediatric rheumatologist diagnosed her with juvenile arthritis and uveitis, an inflammation of the eye.

Madelyn has since settled into a routine of taking one shot per week, along with additional medication and eye drops. Her strength and courage is inspiring.

Funds raised support research and programs for children and adults living with arthritis.
