AREA VOLLEYBALL: Blackduck, Kelliher/Northome advance

BLACKDUCK — The Drakes glided past Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig with a 25-8, 25-9, 25-15 sweep Monday night to advance to the Section 8A tournament.

Sydnie Sorheim led Blackduck (9-15) with six kills while Breanna Enger added four.

“Syd Sorheim had some strong hits and some powerful serves, so I’d say tonight was her night,” Blackduck coach Cherry Brands said.
