Surete du Quebec investigating 9 officers for alleged abuse
The Surete du Quebec is investigating nine of its police officers for improper conduct, including sexual assault, involving First Nations women.
The SQ says only two of the 14 allegations against the officers involve sex. The others allege different types of abuse by the officers.
The allegations date as far back as 10 years and the alleged incidents took place in the Lac Simon First Nation in Val d'Or, 500 kilometres northwest of Montreal.
