2015 Southeastern Art Show and Market Youth Winners

Celebrating its 10th year, the Southeastern Art Show and Market (SEASAM) provides an opportunity for tribal artists to gather and celebrate Southeastern and Woodlands arts.

Conducted in Tishomingo, Okla., in conjunction with the Chickasaw Nation Annual Meeting and Festival, SEASAM is open to all artists of Southeast and Woodlands tribes. More than 85 participating artists were showcased Friday – Saturday, Oct. 2-3 at the Chickasaw Nation Capitol grounds during the 2015 Annual Meeting and Festival.

SEASAM offers a juried competition with awards, and a marketplace where artists can display and sell their works.

Winners in the Youth category are:

Best in Show – "The Elder," a sculpture by Miko Milligan (Chickasaw), Ada, Okla.

Best of Two Dimensional Art – "2 Corinthians 4:7," a drawing by Hailey Bishop (Cherokee), Calera, Okla.

Best in Three Dimensional Art – "Issoba," a miniature sculpture by Aeneas Freeman (Chickasaw) Oklahoma City.

Best of Cultural – Diamond Design Beaded Collar by Samantha Perry (Chickasaw) Ada, Okla.
