Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota announces the formation of the Goodwill-Easter Seals Foundation

Foundation to ensure that financial resources will grow to keep pace with the increased demand for services

St. Paul (Oct. 20, 2015) – For nearly a century, Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota has helped build strong and vibrant communities where all people, regardless of the barriers they face, can experience the power and dignity of work. To ensure that financial resources will grow to keep pace with the increased demand for services, Goodwill-Easter Seals Foundation was recently created. Financial gifts to Goodwill-Easters Seals Foundation will support the long-term sustainability of Goodwill-Easter Seals. Funds contributed to the Foundation reach beyond the annual operating budget of the organization. The Foundation is a separate nonprofit corporation which exists for the sole benefit of Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota. Goodwill-Easter Seals Foundation will hold all endowed funds.

Joe Barsky, foundation chair, states “As we look out to the next one hundred years of Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota, we see ever-greater demand for our services and programs. To help meet the demand we foresee, Goodwill-Easter Seals Foundation was established to provide additional philanthropic funding opportunities and support for Goodwill-Easter Seals mission in perpetuity. I am honored to lead this exciting effort.”
