Beltrami County Sheriff's Office Volunteer Open House

Beltrami County is hosting a volunteer open house for recognition of the valuable contributions public safety volunteers in Beltrami County make and to recruit new members to join our emergency operations team. The open house will be held Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 at 6PM in the Beltrami County Boardroom located in the County Administration Building at 701 Minnesota Ave NW.

Volunteers play an important role in many services in Beltrami County; whether it is preplanned events such as Citizen Patrol and Sheriff’s Posse assisting with security at the fair, or conducting search and rescue operations to First Responders providing lifesaving emergency medical care, and of course making sure everyone can talk to each other.

Representatives from our volunteer organizations affiliated with Beltrami County’s Emergency Operations Team will be on hand and available to answer any questions the public may have about their responsibilities and contributions they make to our communities. Some of the organizations that will be represented include: Citizen Patrol, Sheriff’s Posse, Amateur Radio Club, First Responders, and Police Reserves. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, but don’t quite fit into any of those groups, we still encourage you to attend and let us know what contributions you can make as a volunteer.

If you are unable to attend the volunteer open house and have an interest in serving as a volunteer, please contact Christopher Muller, Beltrami County Emergency Management Director, at ph.218-333-8386 or chris.muller@co.beltrami.mn.us for more information. You can also visit the Beltrami County website for volunteer applications and additional information.
