Award-winning American Indian scientist to speak Monday at BSU

BEMIDJI -- An award-winning scientist noted for his work on curing human diseases is the keynote speaker at the North Star STEM Alliance Kick-Off event Monday at the American Indian Resource Center on the BSU campus.

The public is invited from 7 to 7:30 p.m. to hear Joshua Marceau, a doctoral candidate at the University of Montana’s biomedical sciences department. Marceau is an enrolled member of the Salish tribe in western Montana, and holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Penn State.
