National Organizations Partner to Support Native Youth Entrepreneurship

MESA, AZ – In a major effort to support and provide guidance to a new generation of young Native American and Alaska Native entrepreneurs, two nationally recognized organizations are partnering to create youth-oriented entrepreneurial education, and offer ongoing resources for Native youth. The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) and United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc. (UNITY) will collaborate to tie-in training and workshop components to their respective – and successful – annual gatherings, including Reservation Economic Summits (RES) and the UNITY Midyear and National conferences.

The collaboration will begin at RES New Mexico at the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino in Santa Fe, with the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES). YES is designed for Native American high school and college-aged students interested in business and entrepreneurship to hone their skills and learn more about what it takes to become successful in business.
