Tribal Council will not pay $1.2 million, county, schools feel effects

MISSOULA, Mont. - Officials in Lake County say the $1.2 million hit they'll take from tribal leaders taking over the former Kerr Dam will hurt, but they understand the decision.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes took over ownership and operation of the dam last month.
