Naytawaush woman faces charges in theft from Bagley store

MAHNOMEN—A Naytahwaush woman reported as missing and a person of interest in a theft case was located late last week and booked into the Clearwater County Jail. A Rice Lake man she was seen with while allegedly taking money from a Bagley grocery store was later arrested for criminal vehicular homicide.

The Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office issued a release Oct. 1 naming Leslie Wakemup, 25, as a person of interest in an area theft case. Wakemup appeared in Clearwater County District Court on Wednesday facing a felony theft charge in connection to a burglary at Kubiak's Grocery Store in Bagley.
