Menominee Tribal School used as model for the state

A school on the Menominee Tribal Reservation is showing off its teaching methods Wednesday to Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction, which could be taking those methods to other schools across Wisconsin.

The state-run agency has put a program called “Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports” in schools—a method where teachers praise good behavior—the “positive”—and support students by using their various heritages in the classroom.
