Acclaimed Author David Treuer to visit Le Sueur

The acclaimed Minnesota author David Treuer will speak about his writing career and his nonfiction book Rez Life, in which Treuer provides a complex and subtle examination of Native American reservation life, past and present. The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 in the Le Sueur-Henderson High School Auditorium.

David Treuer is an Ojibwe Indian from Leech Lake Reservation in northern Minnesota. He is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a Minnesota Book Award, and fellowships from the NEH, Bush Foundation, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He divides his time between his home on the Leech Lake Reservation and Los Angeles, where he is a Professor of Literature at USC.
