Non-Native Man Pleads Guilty of Killing of Arapaho Man and Attempted Murder of Another

LANDER, WYOMING—Roy Clyde, 32, pleaded guilty in Lander District Court on Thursday to shooting two homeless American Indian men on July 18, 2015 in Riverton, Wyoming, which resulted in murder to one of the men and attempted murder of the other. Both of the homeless men were tribal citizens of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.

Clyde, a former Riverton City Parks and Recreation employee, walked into the Center of Hope Center, a detoxification center and shot the two men in cold-blood. Killed in the shooting was Stallone Trosper, who was 29-years-old. Sonny Goggles, cousin to the Northern Arapaho Business Council Chairman Dean Goggles, survived the shooting.
