American Spirit Cigarettes Targeted in Lawsuit over Deceptive Marketing

Unless you live under a rock, you know that all forms of smoking are dangerous. However, the manufacturer of American Spirit cigarettes, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co., is facing a class action lawsuit over marketing its products as “natural” and “additive free”.

American Spirit cigarettes are made from “100% certified organic tobacco” and while some consumers could believe that this makes for a ‘healthier’ cigarette, Santa Fe states on its homepage, “No additives in our tobacco does NOT mean a safer cigarette.”
