Russell Auginaush Sr., age 35, of Naytahwaush, MN, died as the result of an accident on Sunday, September 27, 2015, in Clearwater County.

Russell Marvin Auginaush, Sr., was born April 1, 1980, to Mary Auginaush. He was raised by his Grandpa Porgie (George Auginaush Sr.) and special Aunt, Karrie Auginaush in the Rice Lake area. He met the love of his life, Bonita Roy, and he then relocated to Naytahwaush where they made their home together where they raised eight children. They were united in marriage on May 27, 2005, in Pine Bend, MN.

Russell graduated from Circle of Life School in 1998 and furthered his education towards working on windmills, building houses and house loans. He worked on C.E.P. census 2000, various positions at the casino, PCA and Tero work. Russell worked for Gerald Gettle and not only was he his boss abut also his best friend. With being productive he still made time for his wife, kids, nieces and nephews and his grandbabies. Some of his favorite things were bologna, ramen, chips, pizza, coffee, green monster and basketball. His favorite movie was "All about the Benjamins" and TV actor Jim Carey. Russell was raised with good morals and a big heart, which he passed onto his kids.

Russell's hobbies included making dream catchers, diamond willow canes and picture frames and playing "Picking Pennies", a game he invented. He enjoyed putting together model cars, reading to his kids, leeching, ricing and picking boughs. When it rained he entertained the kids indoors by coloring, reading, baking, etc.

Russell and Bonita had similarities that joined them together. They both had grandpa's named George and they both had moles on their right hand in the upper right corner. There was always the ongoing rivalry in the house between Russell as a Minnesota Vikings fan and Bonita as a Green Bay Packer Backer!

Russell is survived by his birth mother, Mary Auginaush; his wife, Bonita, sons:Tristen (19) and David (18) Roy of Naytahwaush, Russell Jr. (10), Antonio (3) and Tyrel (1) Auginaush; daughters, Inez (7) and Karriann (5); sisters: Sarah (Brent) Auginaush, LeAnn (Derek) Auginaush, Latoya (Chico) Auginaush, Brandy Brown, Angel Auginaush, Bobbie Roy, Bambi Roy and Becky (Mike) Neeland; brothers: Troy (Kerstine) Brown, Shawn (Brianna) Brown, and Neil Roy; Bon's parents, Beth and David Burnette; two grandchildren Jaylnn Faye (3) and Kaylin Lee (2) Roy, and one goddaughter, Sigourney Renae (10) Littlewolf and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, JayLynn; his grandpa, Porgie; special cousin, Desirae Auginaush; nephew, Jarod Auginaush, and niece, Shawntae Roy.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Sports Complex from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Interment will be in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Naytahwaush.
