Officials: Overpass project should be completed next week

BEMIDJI -- The U.S. Highway 2/Minnesota Highway 89 overpass project in Bemidji is wrapping up, officials said Wednesday, but the next few days will see a lot of activity in the area.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is urging motorists to use extra caution while driving through the area just west of Bemidji as crews work through the final stages of the project.

“Weather permitting, the project should be complete by next week,” said Project Engineer Troy Strassburg in a release. “But over the next few days, there will be a lot of activity in that work zone.”
