Racing season wraps up at Speedway with Paul Bunyan Stampede

BEMIDJI -- More than 120 cars filled the pit at the Bemidji Speedway this past weekend, as the 36th annual Paul Bunyan Stampede capped the finale of the racing season on Saturday and Sunday.

And there was plenty of excitement on both days.

On Sunday, the first rollover occurred on the first lap of the first race (the mini stock feature) when Mike Delaney's mini went up and over the #2 corner rolling down the back side. The second rollover happened on the front straight with the Wissota Midwest modified of Jeff Nelson caught the front wall spinning and rolling coming out of turn four. Both drivers were unhurt but could not continue with the damaged race cars.
