Red Lake Conservation Department to sponsor Hunter Safety Course

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety Conservation Enforcement Division will be sponsoring a hunter safety course in Ponemah on October 5, 2015 at the Drug Abuse Building located near the Store. The 5 night course will be administered to children ages 11-17 and will be limited to the first 15 participants, Class will start at 5:30pm and will conclude at 8:00pm and will be held each night and concludes October 9, 2015.

Attendance is required each night for successful completion. Students will learn firearm terminology, weapon nomenclature, Red Lake hunting laws and codes, safe and effective firearm handling skills in addition to demonstrating adequate firearm shooting proficiency to meet all hunter safety requirements for Hunting Safety Certificates.

Participants may sign up at the Drug Abuse Building and there is no fee.
