Inmate found unresponsive, revived at Beltrami County Jail

BEMIDJI—A 34-year-old female inmate has been flown to a Duluth-area hospital after she was found to be unresponsive and then revived at the Beltrami County Jail early Tuesday.

At approximately 2:37 a.m., Beltrami County correctional staff were notified of a medical emergency regarding an inmate within the facility, according to a release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office. The woman was found to be unresponsive, not breathing and without a pulse. Witnesses reported she experienced what appeared to be seizure-type activity, the release said.
