Frost advisory issued for area; freeze warning farther east

BEMIDJI -- An overnight frost advisory has been issued for the Bemidji area, with temperatures expected to drop to the low 30s and upper 20s into Wednesday. A freeze warning has been issued for the Cass Lake area and farther to the east.

The frost advisory is for the counties of Beltrami, Lake of the Woods, Hubbard and Wadena. The temperature dropped to 28 degrees overnight Tuesday in Bemidji, and the National Weather Service is calling for one more chilly night before low temperatures climb back above 40 degrees.

The weather service in Duluth issued a freeze warning for much of northeast Minnesota, starting at the Cass County line and moving east. Temperatures are expected to be in the low- to mid-20s in those areas.
