UPDATED: Naytahwaush man dies in apparent hit-and-run in Clearwater County

BAGLEY -- Investigators say a Naytahwaush, Minn., man found dead in a ditch southwest of Bagley, Minn., was hit by a vehicle, according to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office.

Russell Marvin Auginaush, 35, was struck by a vehicle while walking along Lower Rice Lake Road between 3 and 7 a.m. Sunday, said Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson.

His body was discovered Sunday afternoon by his brother, whose children had rode by the body on ATVs and alerted their father to it, Halverson said.
