Officers at Twin Cities-Based Mortgage Lender Recognized for Work with Low-Income and First-Time Homebuyers

The acknowledgement comes as the growing First-time Minnesota Home Mortgage Lender approaches its 20th anniversary

Edina, Minn. (September 28, 2015) – A leading Twin Cities-based mortgage firm announced today that three of its veteran loan officers have been recognized by the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for assisting homebuyers in obtaining safe, affordable housing.

The loan officers at Marketplace Home Mortgage (MHM) work closely with Minnesota Housing to simplify homeownership for low-income and first-time home buyers. Three of MHM’s loan officers were acknowledged as top-producing loan officers and experts in the agency’s assistance programs.

The agency awards Silver, Gold or Platinum Level to loan officers who have helped a high volume of new homeowners and buyers navigate the agency’s program successfully.

Minnesota Housing designated Robert Haft of MHM’s Coon Rapids office as a Gold Level officer, and both Connie Bloom of the Edina office and Bryan Crepeau of MHM’s Burnsville office are now Silver Level officers for their consistent work with newcomers to the housing market.

Having been in the industry for over a decade, Haft said the acknowledgement is an exciting benchmark in his career.

“Minnesota Housing is a great program and I am delighted to help folks to take advantage of it,” Haft said. “People really need to start paying themselves instead of paying rent, and I’m glad I can assist them in doing that.”

The MHFA maintains a reputation as one of the nation’s top housing finance agencies with initiatives to improve public housing, reduce homelessness across the state and ensure Minnesotans have housing essentials regardless of their financial background.

MHM President Keith White said this most recent recognition speaks to MHM’s vitality as the company approaches its 20th year serving homebuyers on Dec. 1.

“We are thrilled to have spent two decades serving our clients, and having our loan officers utilize programs like the MHFA opportunity to help homebuyers is a big part of our success,” White said.
