Dayton to look at all racial groups for income assistance
ST. PAUL -- U.S. Census figures show black Minnesotans' incomes dropped dramatically in the past year, but Gov. Mark Dayton said Monday he will examine all races when deciding how the state can help.
The state may not be able to help all racial classes -- including blacks, Hispanics and American Indians -- with the same policies, he said.
"You really can't look at it generically across the state," Dayton told reporters. "It is different from one area to another."
