Applications for Three Region 2 Arts Council Grants Due October 15, 2015

Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants for Schools: $3,000 maximum request. No cash match required. This grant is open to public and charter schools and community education programs located in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Mahnomen or Lake of the Woods counties. Eligible projects include performances, exhibitions, costs associated with the engagement of guest artists, public art projects, artists-in-residence.

Arts Project Grants: $2,500 maximum request with a 20% cash match. This grant is open to non-profit organizations, units of local government, schools, universities, and community education programs located in in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Mahnomen or Lake of the Woods counties. Eligible projects include arts workshops, public art projects, music/theater/dance performances, arts exhibits, film projects or literary projects and must be open to/accessible by the public. Funding for developmental assistance for arts organizations to help with long-range planning or board development also available.

Quick Grants: $500 maximum request for individual artists or $1,000 maximum request for nonprofit 501c3 organizations located/residing in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Mahnomen or Lake of the Woods counties. No cash match required. Eligible uses of funds include arts learning opportunities that are not for academic credit such as conferences, workshops, lessons, or study with a master artist, as well as performances/exhibitions, or supplies/services needed to complete an arts project that has not been previously funded by R2AC. This grant offers a monthly deadline, quick turn around, and a shorter grant application form to facilitate faster funding for arts activities.
