Larry Dean Glass, 72, of Cass Lake, MN passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Memorial services are 11:00 am Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cass Lake, Minnesota with Revs. Peter Rosenkvist and Janeva Stromberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Larry was born Sept. 24, 1942 in White Earth, MN the son of Leonard and Dorothy (Bement) Glass. He was raised and educated in Minneapolis. He served in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic from 1960 -62. He married Marilyn Harris on Feb. 4, 1994 in Cass Lake. He was the director of housing for the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe for a number of years. He also was an owner/ operator of Chucky's Chicken in Cass Lake from 2002 to 2011.

Larry was very involved in his church and community. Among Larry's many accomplishments after retirement was: becoming a Deacon at the church, being elected official on the Pike Bay Town Board, food Shelf volunteer and he was custodian for the church.

Larry never met a stranger, just a friend he had yet to meet. He was one of a kind. God's gain is our loss.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Cass Lake,

3 children- Marilee (Kevin) Rooney,

Shannon Sundquist,

Travis Glass,

2 stepchildren – Jennifer (Chad) Keller,

Tom (Alyssa) Lyons,

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren,

2 sisters- Linda (Buddy) Sapp,

and Nathalie (Gene) Hassert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons- Larry "Chip" and A.J. Glass, 2 brothers- Jimmy and Leonard "Tummy" and a nephew – Michael Sullivan.
