NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION OFFERS BOARD BOOT CAMP WORKSHOP

BEMIDJI, MN-September 14, 2015 -- The Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) is delivering Board Boot Camp, a training designed for first time board members, a board member who has never participated in formal training, or those interested in joining a board. The workshop offers a comprehensive manual to help you learn how to fulfill your primary board responsibilities, and identify the nuances of board authority and relationships.

This session will be offered from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Crookston on October 5 and in Bemidji on October 6. To register, please visit http://www.nwmf.org, under upcoming events - view full calendar. The workshop is limited to 30 participants.

MAP for Nonprofits trainer, Jennifer Kramm will conduct the session. She supports nonprofit board development with organizations like Neighborhood House, Urban Board Builders, Art Shanty Project, Aynah, as well as corporate volunteers from General Mills. Kramm is trained in the Art of Hosting, a method for convening meaningful conversation. She has a background in new business development and philanthropy.
